Culture Change
Culture change means different things to different people; however, best-selling authors on culture change conclude that cultures evolve based on personal beliefs and experiences created by the leaders of an organization.   S&V sincerely believes that leadership must first define what their current culture is before being able to then assess and outline the culture desired.  This assessment includes weighing all aspects (results and possible “fallout”) of achieving their newly defined culture.

“Buy in” by a majority of stakeholders is not only important, but necessary, to ensure unwavering understanding of where the client wants to take the organization and to assure there is a well thought out plan.

A  two-day retreat facilitated by the S&V team will assist the client and key stakeholder segments chosen by the client (example: Key administrative leaders, Board members, physicians [if health care], community leaders, and possibly staff members) to develop a Culture Plan inclusive of:

• Assessment of the current culture
• Development of a plan for not only desired results but anticipated effects of change.

Also, an understanding of the challenges leaders will encounter, and the commitment

necessary in creating a new culture is key to successful transformation.
• Development of a Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Values creates a theme

upon which leadership can build a culture.
• A communication plan to assure all stakeholders work together in achieving the mission

   and vision of the organization.
• A training plan for management & staff
• Accountability Plan to assure follow through
